Ok i have created a list with the latest Firefox (Use Firefox not IE) plugins that i use on a day to day basis . Why you should use Firefox and not IE ? This is really simple : faster browsing and download , better security and of course Microsoft sucks :P … If you decided to make the step for Firefox i strongly suggest that you use the following addons :

Fireshot (Capture , edit and Screen shot)

    Fireshot
A plugin that offers the possibility to take a screen shot (visible or entire website), and having the possibility to open and edit with standard blog publishing options (highlighting certain areas of an image , adding text areas and markers to highlight a certain point of the image etc.)

Email This! (instant send of links , titles , texts)

    email this
You write an interesting article and you want Groovey (it is just an example)? to read it … By using only 3 clicks the email arrives in his inbox (working only with gmail and yahoo accounts ) . This plugin can also help you to send a Christmas card to your friends … The thing to do is : select the entire text or the fragment of text you want to send , and automatically it opens a send new mail windows with the text , title and the exact link of the page you want to send simply by using “Email This! (video tutorial)

Google Reader Notifier (Unred feed articles on your status bar)

    Google notifier
If you use Google Reader, and you are looking for an actualized statistic of new articles in your feed , i strongly suggest using acestui plugin a small but very useful plugin . This plugin has a nice option page with a lot of customisable options.

  1. Please let me add something for those that do not know what Firefox Add-ons are.

Add-ons extend Firefox, letting you personalize your browsing experience. Take a look around and make Firefox your own.

Add-ons are small pieces of software that can add new features or tiny tweaks to your Firefox. They can add new search engines or dictionaries in other languages, change the look of Firefox with a new theme, or much more. Take a look around and see what add-ons can do for you.

I just wanted to state that I released a new version of the extension that is now compatible with Firefox 3.0 and once again works with offline mail-clients in conjunction with gmail, google apps for gmail, and yahoo.

    Thanks again!

  4. To be honest i will choose FF over IE everyday. It brings out the best in a site and the addons makes it extra cool. Addons like the stumbleUpon buttons etc always comes in handy.

  5. Arthur, where can we download this extension?
